Entry Requirements
For undergraduate programmes, Sussex typically asks for A-level grades ranging from ABB to AAA depending on the course. International students can enter through the International Study Centre (ISC) foundation programme if they don't meet direct entry requirements.
English Language
IELTS 6.0-7.0 overall depending on the programme, with no less than 5.5-6.5 in each component. Sussex also accepts TOEFL, PTE, and Duolingo English Test.
Application Timeline
- UCAS deadline: 31 January for most courses (15 October for Medicine)
- September and January intakes available for many postgraduate programmes
- Foundation programmes have rolling admissions — apply early for the best accommodation options
- Visa applications: allow 3-6 months before your course start date
